Mythical & Philosophical Aspects of Biodanza

It is with great pride that I announce the first weekend of the Biodanza School with a home grown, local is lekker, Didactic* facilitator - Tracy Shaw!

Tracy is particulary skilled to lead this weekend. She is a consulting astrologer, well known from her column in the Cape Argus, holds an honours degree in philosophy and has had experience in dance theatre! And so has considerable experience and depth in working with archetypal, mythcial and philosophical processes. She has been pursing Biodanza for ten years and completed her training as a Didactic facilitator with Rolando Toro Araneda in Brazil last year.

This weekend is a particularly powerful weekend open to all who are participating in regular classes of Biodanza. Rolando Toro Araneda, founder of Biodanza, researched the primal sources of mythical and philosophical archetypes. Tracy says: “When we engage with myths and archetypes, we meet truths which speak
to our heart and soul. They reconnect us with our deep humanity, our most powerful instincts and our unity with nature. We discover a rich heritage that goes far beyond our personal story. This sets an alchemical process in motion, taking us further in our dance of transformation.”

In this weekend, we'll explore some of these archetypes. You'll experience their power through vivencias of ritual and ceremony. The weekend is part of the Personal Development Course. It is dancing, lectures and is supported by a training manual with personal exercises to pursue after the weekend.
