The Biodanza South Africa Centre

Dear All

We are delighted to formally announce the Biodanza South Africa Centre!  For a long time, we have needed a space where the core values of Rolando Toro Araneda are carefully practiced in the gentle and progressive way he envisaged.

When Biodanza is practiced by facilitators and experienced by participants with deep affectivity, the power of Biodanza for personal transformation and change is at its most profound.

We bring this to you in one place where you can progressively move from introductory to intermediate and on to in-depth classes in a single space and knowing that the fundamental ethic of Biodanza – affectivity – is fully present and there to ensure your experience of Biodanza at its fullest.

The Methodist Church in Parktown North has been our home for many years.

This centre will initially bring you three progressive weekly classes catering for Introductory, Intermediates and In-Depth levels.

2012: A Year of Transformation
Welcoming the new and letting go of the old 2011

Sanclair is one of the iconic figures of Biodanza.

A man who has walked his path in Biodanza with integrity.

He lives life in rural Brazil far from the internet, cell phones, Facebook and most modern distractions!

And he continues to be extraordinarily well regarded within the world wide Biodanza community. But never leaves his roots in rural Brazil for long.

This may well be the one and only chance to meet him here in South Africa. So please do not miss this unique opportunity of meeting and sharing some time with a man who has lived Biodanza fully and with integrity.

He is bringing us a very special workshop.

He says: “Many of us live in intense, hidden states of pain and a great deal of inner suffering. These states block our access to the higher states of ‘vivencia' and plenitude in life.”

For those who need to know more:

Sinclair was one of the first people to support Rolando in Brazil.
And was a member of the first Biodanza School in Brazil.
He is a didactic and Biodanza facilitator.
He holds a degree in Science of Sport & Movement and
has practised Capoeira (a Brazilian martial art) for many years.
He has pursued the study of Transcendence and the development
of Consciousness through Biodanza. He loves to work with and in nature.

Daniel Cohen Classes - Cape Town

Dear Everybody,

I am very much looking forward to coming home to "my" special space - Biodanza @ Erin Hall, every Monday, 19h15 for 19h30.

On the 23rd I will be starting from ground zero, building a new circle, beginning the journey afresh.

You are all welcome,  whether you have never experienced a Biodanza circle before or whether Biodanza has truly become a home from home for you.

I call Biodanza a home from home because it provides, like a home should, a space where you have the opportunity to be yourself

Each Biodanza class is an opportunity to explore, experience, initiate, awaken, enhance, discover, be delighted, laugh, smile, move, feel and dance (of course).

Both for the members of the class and for the facilitator.

But what makes facilitating Biodanza so special for me is seeing how Biodanza has helped individuals change and grow and be more able to cope with and transcend what life has thrown up for them.  

Not to mention that wonderful, peaceful, happy, fulfilled feeling which is created and shared by facilitator and participant alike.
