The African Encounter 2010 is building up into another very special event! It will be five days of pure bliss!

Who's Coming?
We have a wonderful group of facilitators coming to join us from overseas – Marcelo Toro – Biodanza Andalusia, Spain – fresh and energetic grandson of Rolando Toro Araneda, founder and Creator of Biodanza. Myrthes Gonzales, accompanied by Marco Guimoraes, pioneers of Biodanza in Porto Alegre, Brazil. All are steeped in the original source of Biodanza - South America and Latin passion!
And we also have the participation of our own wonderful locally trained facilitators who have already proven themselves of international quality and standing!
Where?
And it is all happening at The Nest Hotel, recently awarded Best South African Leisure Hotel by Automobile Association and American Express. The Nest Hotel is situated in the Drakensberg's Champagne Valley - not far from the Ukhalamba-Drakensberg Park declared a World Heritage site in 2000. The mountain scenery is simply spectacular. If you like mountain walks, this is the place! Please remember to bring walking shoes.
Weather is warm during the day and temperature drops during the night, it can get cold. Might be some rain in the evenings, so be prepared! Not a malaria area and no vaccines required.
And the hotel is offering special rates for those arriving early on 15th December and those staying over on the night of the 20th December.
When?
The dates are 16th to 20th December 2010. We start in mid afternoon on the 16th and continue until lunch time on the 20th. You will be totally blissed out!
How Much?
All prices are now at the full rate of ZAR 5,200 (per person), which is still superb value for four nights, full board in peak holiday season in an awarding winning hotel with an excellent array of facilitators.
It can be a wonderful alternative holiday, a life changing experience, or a time to reconnect with the world wide community of Biodanza. You choose.

Before & After
Foreign participants: On arrival, please remember Johannesburg is 1200 metres above sea level, so at least 1 day to relax, and it is HOT!!! African sun is strong! Lots of sun block on arrival!
Arriving before the 15th December as we all leave for the Encounter by the 15-16th. It is a five hour journey and the only mode of transport is by private car. We can share mini bus rental too.
Usually the party starts on 7th December, you arrive and must sleep for at least a day, relax and take in Africa.
Accommodation on arrival to JHB: There is a sweet peaceful, bed & breakfast/guest house called Somona Guest House which has been catering for all Biodanza events for the past 5 years; it has a pool. Shops and banks are nearby. It is just around the corner from my home. Bookings.
Arrival: Please book with our reliable taxi driver, Alpheus; he will bring you to Somona House. Give him advance notice at least 2 days. You can get him on his mobile: 00 27 82 4708998. Please send me a copy of your flight details and I will get it to Alpheus.
African Adventure Tour: From the moment you arrive, 7-10 December, the fiesta will start. Kimmollo Tours, (Mmalerato and Kotso) can take you to the Lion Park, Pilanesberg, at least a 3 day local tour to see AFRICA. Let us know and we can link you with them.
On Thursday 9th and Sunday all day 12th December we will have Biodanza celebrations in JHB.
